I lost any and all possible respect/sympathy for Sir Edward when he decided that if he had to he'd ruin Lady Babs to make her marry him. The blackmail really wasn't a surprise after that. I know this book is considered part of a series (according to goodreads at least) but I will not be reading the next book since the series is all connected by Sir Edward and not one of the other characters in the series. I ended up liking Babs, although I don't really like or dislike Nick. I did like him for punching Sir Edward at the end, though.
