SPOILER ALERT!

Reaver [Larrisa Ione]

Reaver - Larissa Ione

I don't think I'll be able to write a review about this book without including a lot of spoilers, so I'm going to try to keep it brief.

I thought I was going to have so many things to say about this book when I finished it.  I assumed that it would be the last book in both series and then Ione sets up the next book while telling this one.  I'm not complaining about another book in the series, but I really wasn't expecting it!

I thought most of the drama was going to be between Harvester and Reaver, since he knew some things but not all and she knew things he didn't but not what he knew.  This book threw a bunch of curve balls into what I expected to happen and what did.  Turns out, the relationship wasn't that dramatic even though they've spent the last 30 some odd years hating each other.

I really wasn't sure how Ione was going to get the two of them together, since I was one of the readers that really wasn't sure about Reaver and Harvester when the book was announced.  I really should learn to trust the authors I read, becasue no matter how unlikely it seems, they always manage to make me want the main characters together by the end (a few executions to that, but very few).

Note to self: this series + audio not a good idea.  Listening to the sex scenes can be kind of awkward.
