I really like Raven. I'm not sure why, since in the other books he was shown to be slut who didn't care who he hurt as long as he got sex. This isn't really the way he is, but he's convinced himself that that's all he can be and it's up to the King of Jurru to change his mind.
The side drama was very strange. Even after meeting Nalu and figuring out what he was doing on the boat (which I expected after he ran off to the boat) I hadn't expected it to be so wide spread among the orphans on Jurru.
