Kei's Gift [Ann Somerville]
I must admit that I adore this book (and I really said that). The same goes for any and all of Ann Somerville's books. The Darshian Tales series is set in a time like ours and yet so different.
I've started reading it again for the 4th or 5th time. It's long and detailed, but I never grow tired of it :) There are so many things that can be said about this book. The only thing that I think I have to warn people of is that his book has m/m relationships, slash, yaoi, whatever you want to call it :) the main relationship isn't until closer to the end, but Kei has a relationship with other man near the beginning of the book. It's also a book about war, as much as it is about love and life. there are some parts that even I find to be painful to read about. if you read it, you'll understand what I mean :)
