Enchanted: Erotic Bedtime Stories For Women [Nancy Madore]
I wasn't expecting this to have so many feminist views in it, not a complaint, mind you but it wasn't something that I was expecting. Not all of the stories had a feminist undertone to them, but more of them did than didn't. The concept of taking fairy tales and making them more adult isn't a new one: Anne Rice (writing as A.N. Roquelaure) did so in her Sleeping Beauty Series (The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty, Beauty's Punishment & Beauty's Release). The idea of making fairy tales into a feminist message also isn't new, Feminist Fairy Tales by Barbara G. Walker does the same thing. This is the first time, however that I have ever seen both themes in the same stories. Doesn't mean that no one else has done so, just that I don't know of it.
