Guyland: The Perilous World Where Boys Become Men [Michael Kimmel]
My favorite chapter in this book was "Babes in Boyland: Pornography". I'm not sure why, but there it is. The author meations a book that I have recently bought and plan to read soon, Pornified: How Pornography Is Transforming Our Lives, Our Relationships, And Our Families.
I don't really have anything to say about this book. None of it shocked me, even though most of the stories were about frat guys and I tend to avoid them. Well, part of that could also be that most of my male friends are gay and didn't want to join frat houses. I wonder why those are related? Of if they really are? Proof that I'm a social science major :)
This book was really easy to read, after reading Nonzero: The Logic of Human Destiny. It only took me two days to read this book, maybe a total of 6 hours. Good thing I have time today, since I've started another book (which I don't love so far), The Wimp Factor: Gender Gaps, Holy Wars, and the Politics of Anxious Masculinity.
Okay, done now
