First Drop of Crimson [Jeaniene Frost]
I wasn't sure about this book, since I'm reading it as part of the Night Huntress Universe but it's more PNR romance than anything. I'm not sure I would have liked it as much if the MCs where just random people from the NH universe, I might have skipped this book completely if that had been the case but it would have been really hard to skip Spade's book. His heroine being Denise was a huge bonus!
