Lover Reborn [J.R. Ward]
The end of the last chapter was a great setup for Qhuinn and Blay's book, Lover At Last. As usual, I wish I could write a epic review that would amaze everyone. Well, not everyone, maybe just myself if I ever re-read the review. No such luck, I think. I've been trying to read too many books in too short a time frame, so no epic review.
There were times when I wanted to just kick everyone's ass, John, Xhex (only a little in her case), Autumn, and Tohr. Likely some other people too, but those are the main ones. I wonder if anyone knows that Layla is pregnant? Nothing was mentioned, aside from Qhuinn's worry, but you'd think that would be a big deal!
I'd forgotten how many things go on in her books. They are mostly PNR, but there are also several different side stories going on at the same time. I don't mind having another person's POV sometimes, but Ward almost over does it with these books. I know that everyone's POV was needed to get the plot were she needed it, but it almost drove me crazy. I don't know if it normally bothers me this much and I love the books too much to care for very long or if I just forget in between the books. Like I said, it's not that big of a deal, I think part of the problem is that I know she doesn't have to write this way, just that this series is set up that way. Maybe I shouldn't have read Covet!
