I loved Cat drunk, but I can't believe she drank all of the moonshine. There were a lot of things that happened in this book that I really wasn't expecting. The vampire lore wasn't really anything new, but I've only read only one other series with a dhampir (and that series is more fantasy than urban fantasy).
I think I've got to learn how to listen to audiobooks in order to write a review. The only things I can really think of to say are spoilers and I hate spoiling books (even if this one is an older one). I will be reading the next book in the series (but it's going to because it's a audiobook at the library and there's a lot of people ahead of me). The end was almost heartbreaking, even though I've already read the summary for the next books.
I really liked the parts of the book were Cat was acting, often trying to not laugh as the vampire fell for it hook, line and sinker. It was a little awkward to listen to the sex scenes, although none of them were all that graphic.
